An Aldrich Mansion Wedding

This wedding day was really something special. Just a quick thanks to Jamie and Greg for inviting me into their big day. The day started at the bride’s home in Narragansett with a gorgeous ceremony and Mass at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea the and ended in Warwick at the Aldrich Mansion.

What an awesome wedding day! They had an abundance of friends and family that really knew hoe to have fun and show their love for one another. I had to laugh when Jamie’s dad looked more nervous handing giving his new son-in-law the car keys for his 1955 Ford Thunderbird than when he was walking her down the aisle. I think one of the most amazing things I saw that day was calm bride sweeping the kitchen cleaning up after her nephews 45 minutes before the ceremony. Calm in the middle of a crazy wedding day. She really had the day in perspective and was enjoying every minute of it.

The church was gorgeous and I love the little ones coming in with the signs! I really loved the location where we did the first set of portraits as it was right by the beach where we take the kids during the summer. Beautiful bald blue skies really set the tone for a typical New England summer day in Narragansett.

I expected an Aldrich Mansion Wedding to have a big beautiful reception and the mansion did an amazing job hosting the reception. We had a great time upstairs photographing some group photos in large sitting room and the balcony made for a great perch to photograph everyone at the wedding. The upstairs sitting rooms really provided a great place to take some unique group portraits and really gave the couple the Aldrich Mansion wedding vibe they wanted to convey in those portraits. The outdoor setting was a great addition to the reception. The guys had a blast smoking the cigars and as you can see from the photos above, they had a great time with the garden statues!
